Thank you for visiting the Portsmouth Catholic Regional School website!

We hope you will discover here the many reasons why PCRS is a great place to grow in faith, knowledge and service. Our prayer is to foster a true sense of excellence and values in every student as a masterpiece of Christ. PCRS is a part of the Catholic Church's mission to provide quality education; to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ; and to foster the growth of Christian values through home, school, parish and community. I hope your virtual visit provides you with information and insight into PCRS programs that truly are mission-driven.

In our ever-changing society, it is vital that we meet the needs of our children spiritually, socially, emotionally and academically. At PCRS, we work to build a strong, Christ-centered foundation, which gives our students the confidence and skills to become productive, morally minded, successful lifelong learners and leaders.

Each student is a unique individual who learns and grows at his or her own pace. Using our Measures of Academic Progress, or MAP, testing as a guide in first through eighth grades, we strive to offer differentiated learning experiences and essential support. We utilize our resources in the best and most effective ways possible to promote progress and success. In addition, our Early Learners, Junior Kindergarteners, and Kindergarteners engage in developmentally appropriate activities as they discover the awe around them in their learning environment and world. Progress and success are a collaborative effort. It takes teamwork with school, family and the MVP (Most Valuable Person): your child.

Beginning with the end in mind, our goal at PCRS is to equip our graduates to become successful individuals and leaders in our school, local community and beyond. We provide a challenging core curriculum that stimulates students to question, evaluate, discover, collaborate, create and problem-solve, from early learners (3-year-olds) through eighth grade.

In addition to the core curriculum, PCRS offers art, Spanish, physical education, music and technology. After-school programs, club offerings, community service and athletic programs make Portsmouth Catholic a great choice! Scholarships are available on a financial-need basis to help provide a quality Catholic education to all who seek it.

Please reflect on this thought from Mother Teresa: “I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, Who is sending a love letter to the world.” Write on, PCRS! There is so much love here – especially love for our Father and all of His children. It’s indeed the right choice to learn, live and love together at Portsmouth Catholic Regional School.
