Our Continuous Enrollment Program No more repetitive paperwork each year Your student will now be enrolled through 8th grade graduation It’s that simple.

Portsmouth Catholic Regional School uses Continuous Enrollment (CE), an efficient way for our families to manage their students’ enrollment from year to year. On average, 85% of PCRS families return to our school from the current year. Therefore, our desire is to make the re-enrollment process as convenient as possible for our families. Continuous Enrollment streamlines that process.

To state it more simply: Once enrolled (or re-enrolled) your student will be continuously enrolled until 8th grade graduation. The annual $75.00 registration fee will be billed through FACTS on April 15th.

DATES AT A GLANCE

  • December 1: A Tuition notification letter is sent to all families and published on our website. Financial aid applications open for the upcoming school year.

  • January 15: Continuous Enrollment Contracts are open for new families

  • April 14: Last day to Opt-Out for upcoming academic year April 15: Non-Refundable Continuous Enrollment Registration fee billed via FACTS *unless an opt-out form is submitted by April 14.*

  • April 15-June 30: 20% Tuition penalty July 1 and later: 100% Tuition penalty

*Disclaimer for families applying for financial aid: If you have applied for financial aid prior to April 14th and receive your award notification after the opt out date of April 14, AND we are unable to come to a financial agreement for the upcoming academic year, you will not be held to the continuous enrollment contract and must complete an Opt-Out Withdrawal form within two weeks of receiving your financial aid award notification.

  • We encourage you to contact the Business Manager if there is an issue or concern that we might be able to help with prior to completing the form.

  • Please remember that student records and transcripts are not released for withdrawn students until all current tuition and fees are paid in full.

Notes for full-time students who are Opting-Out of Continuous Enrollment for the upcoming academic year:

  • Your student’s spot at PCRS will no longer be guaranteed and will be subject to PCRS having space available should you decide to return.

  • If you later decide to return, the Continuous Enrollment Agreement will need to be completed again along with payment of a $100 Continuous Enrollment registration fee.

  • If you have applied previously for Financial Aid and have decided to Opt-Out/Withdraw from PCRS, your initial financial aid award notification cannot be guaranteed should you decide to return to PCRS at a later date.

WHAT IS RE-ENROLLMENT
Re-enrollment occurs annually for currently enrolled students to provide their intention for returning to PCRS for the upcoming school year. The PCRS Administrative team gathers this information to prepare staffing and resources for the following school year. Basically, the simple question is: “Are you coming back to PCRS next year?”

WHY DOES RE-ENROLLMENT MATTER? AND WHY DO WE GO THROUGH THIS EVERY YEAR?
PCRS leadership is dedicated to ensuring that each student receives the best academic and spiritual experience at Portsmouth Catholic. Through strategic planning and preparation, enhancements to our instructional resources and facilities are conducted each year. Adjustments are made to our continuous improvement plans as our student retention is realized. We pride ourselves on being good stewards of our resources to provide a high quality Catholic educational experience.

WHY CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT
Continuous Enrollment (CE) allows each family to enroll their student once without having to complete paperwork each year. Students are conveniently re-enrolled each year until 8th grade graduation from PCRS avoiding the need to complete their paperwork annually. This worry-free process saves time and resources so we can continue to provide the highest level of service to our families

HOW DO FAMILIES FINANCIALLY COMMIT TO RETURNING EACH YEAR?
Continuous Enrollment (CE) is automatically initiated each year for the upcoming academic year with a $75.00 registration fee that is billed automatically on April 15 through FACTS.

WHAT IS THE PENALTY IF WE BREAK THE CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT CONTRACT?
Families who notify PCRS of their intent to to opt-out of continuous enrollment by April 14th will not be penalized. If a family opts out after April 14, they will forfeit the non-refundable registration fee and be assessed a tuition penalty:

  • April 15-June 30 will be assessed a 20% tuition penalty

  • July 1 and later will be assessed a 100% tuition penalty

HOW DO NEW FAMILIES BECOME A PART OF CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT?

  • Each family will receive an initial Continuous Enrollment contract that outlines Tuition and Fees as well as policies for the upcoming academic year. This CE contract will be signed by all finally responsible parties, indicating that you are opting in to Continuous Enrollment through 8th Grade graduation. This contract will be updated and sent out annually; however, a signature is only required on the initial CE contract you received. Any changes to the CE contract will be sent out as necessary. By signing the CE Contract, each family will be confirming that they understand the following:

  • I hereby understand that I am opting-in to a Continuous Enrollment agreement whereby my student is enrolled at PCRS each year until 8th grade graduation unless I complete the Opt-Out Form.

  • I understand that I have until April 14th of every year to notify PCRS Enrollment Office of any changes in my plans of enrollment for my student(s) by completing the Opt-Out form.

  • I understand that the Continuous Enrollment registration fee of $75.00 will be billed to my FACTS account on April 15th of each year.

  • If I Opt-Out of Continuous Enrollment on or after April 15th, I understand that I forfeit the $75.00 non-refundable Continuous Enrollment Registration fee.

HOW DO I ENROLL A SIBLING OF A CURRENT PCRS STUDENT? WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
