Grades 2-4

Jr. Programming Club

The Jr. Programming Club is an introduction to the world of programming.  This club  will teach you how to use computer programming to create animations/video games.  You can turn your thoughts and ideas into an animated story or  a playable video game. Members will learn how to use software like Hopscotch, Scratch, Tynker, and code.org.

Grades 5-8

Programming Club

 The Programming Club  will allow you to take your programming knowledge to the next level.  This club will allow you to explore different computer programming softwares to create animations/video games.  You can turn your thoughts and ideas into an animated story or  a playable video game. Members will learn how to use software like Scratch, Stencyl, and  Alice 3.

Published Authors Club

The Published Authors Club will show you how to create a digital book.  You can turn your thoughts, ideas and art into a published iBook. Members will learn how to create a storyboard, use the 7 step writing process to develop a story, digitalize hand drawn pictures/illustrations and publish a digital book.  Completed books will be available for download in the Apple iBook Store.

Graphics Art Club

Grafix is a graphic art after school club which allows students to learn about photography, photo editing, and other graphic art skills.  Students will use the program gimp and learn techniques like clone, touch-up, blur, sharpen, transparency, and work in multiple layers.
